This week, workers at Export Packing Services, Ltd., Chipping Warden, received flu injections from the factory nurse, Miss Delia Peasnell, of Woodford Halse. The factory, which employs nearly 900 people, was able to provide injections to 500 after obtaining anti-flu serum from Crookes Laboratories, Ltd., of Basingstoke, Hants. The company also offered free injections during the last flu outbreak and around 350 employees took advantage of the offer. Despite the 10% absence of total labour force and office staff, which is twice as much as usual at this time of the year, personnel manager Mr. Colin Rickwood assured that the company is managing to hold its own and has enough serum for another 150 people, should anyone change their mind. This week, workers at Export Packing Services, Ltd., Chipping Warden, received flu injections from the factory nurse, Miss Delia Peasnell, of Woodford Halse.
